Meghan and Neil got married at Edgewater Manor in Hamilton, Ontario, right on Lake Ontario. It was rainy and cloudy day, but honestly, it couldn’t have felt more perfect! There was SO much love and laughter, the food was amazing, and the whole day just felt easy, laidback and full of joy. I loved how relaxed they were and we clicked instantly! It made capturing their wedding such a treat.. one of my favourite days that I’ll never forget!

How did you two meet?
Neil and I met at the University of Guelph when we were neighbours in the same residence. We quickly became friends and always enjoyed spending time together and well… the rest is history!
Favourite moment from your wedding day?
The favourite moment from our wedding day was the first look. We almost didn’t do one and I’m so glad we did! We also had our wedding party and parents present, so it was a special moment for our closest inner circle and all the people that saw our relationship grow over the years. They are also my favourite pics from the day that Meg took. I’ll remember that moment forever!
Advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Advice for couples planning: don’t get too caught up on all the bells and whistles that you see in extravagant weddings on social media. Have a chat with your partner about a handful of things that would make it special for you both, and that represent you as a couple instead of just stuff “for content”. Also, as tough as it is, try to aim for a good sleep the night before!
What was it like working with Meg?
With so many photographers out there, we were both so happy that we found Meg! We had a unique request for our “engagement” shoot that she was totally down for, and she did a great job of keeping the shooting schedule on track while allowing for some really priceless candids on our wedding day.
We loved the minimal editing style that captured the vibe of the day and our style perfectly. Our home decor is basically a gallery of Meg shots and we couldn’t be happier! 🥰
