PEI is truly one of my favourite places to be.

There’s something sacred about this island. The way the golden light spills across the cliffs at sunset. How the wind wraps around you like a soft little secret. And how everything just slows down in the best way.

This summer, I attended a photography retreat on the island, and one of the styled sessions I had the chance to photograph was this wildly romantic cliffside elopement concept. While it wasn’t a real wedding, it sparked something in me that I just can’t shake, the deep knowing that this is exactly what some couples are dreaming of.

A Little Note First
I didn’t plan or style this shoot. It was beautifully brought together by the retreat hosts. But I had the honour of documenting it in my own way, and it reminded me why I love capturing elopements so much.

Because even though it wasn’t a real couple getting married, the energy was there. The wind. The movement. The freedom. The intimacy.

It felt like stepping into a love story. One that didn’t need an audience or a timeline, just two people choosing each other.
